The day started off sort of rough. I wasn't really enthused about getting up at 7am and I didn't. I finally got up around 7:30. I had some last minute baby proofing to do and wanted to get a shower before the girls arrived. I managed to squeeze both in. The morning was rushed and a little chaotic, but not bad. I probably could have used a great big cup of coffee, but I skipped it this morning. The girls had cheese grits and I had half an everything bagel with cream cheese.
After breakfast the kids and I did a little monkeying around. They put on monkey masks and ate bananas. They also colored some monkey faces on sticks with crayons. I didn't get pictures of those. They mostly played with their Innotabs and then Lexi and I played Wii Sports while Mary took a nap. We played baseball, golf and even did some boxing, which was a real workout, even for Lexi. We were both ready to rest after that.
I had leftover chili beans with a crumbled MSF griller patty. I added water, chili powder, garlic, and onion powder, to stretch things a bit.
I topped my chili with a few broken up Texas Pete flavored potato chips. I would have like more chips with it, but it was filling enough as it was.
While deciding what to have for dinner, I had a couple of pieces of peanut brittle.
For dinner, I had mixed vegetables with some more of the GV seasoned deli style potato wedges.
I fixed the frozen veggies in the microwave covered in water with about a quarter tsp each, salt and sugar and just a dab of butter.
All I wanted to do this evening was eat. I also had an apple with some peanut butter and graham crackers.
I still kept thinking about food. More apple and graham crackers would have been good, but I only had the one plate full. I'm still not satisfied, but I'm fighting it with a glass of water. It wasn't a bad day, but I am so ready for bed. After all I did have two little monkeys kicking my butt today. Well I'm off to try and get a few pages of my book read before bed. Have a great night/day!!!
I love that picture of Lexi and the banana. I laughed until I cried. Please send it to me.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could have gotten one of Mary too. They both looked cute in their masks, but Lexi really played it up with the banana.
