Change Of Plans

This morning when I got up, I had a day of cleaning and rearranging planned. I had planned to change things around a little in my living room and bedroom and get some laundry done. I had a fruit & yogurt cereal bowl with bran flakes, cheerios, life cereal, apple cinnamon chobani, half a gala apple and some extra cinnamon sprinkled on top.

I should had added a few chopped walnuts as well, but it never crossed my mind this morning. It was good just the way it was.

What I had on my mind was the pot of coffee brewing while I was having breakfast.

I got a load of laundry in the washer and starting figuring out how I would rearrange things, then I got a phone call. It was Lynda, she and Mom invited me to go along with them on a GDO. Well I thought about it and I figured I could change my plans. I don't get to go too often and there wasn't anything that I can't do another day; tomorrow if everything goes well.

Mom and Lynda stopped for a late breakfast before picking me up, so I grabbed a snack to tide me over until later. I had TownHouse crackers and Neufchatel cheese.
I had 3 or 4 crackers spread with cream cheese....
...and the other half of my apple from breakfast
....plus a few peanut butter filled pretzels.

We went to Panera's first to pick up some bagels. I got 6 everything bagels (my favorite) and a free strawberry smoothie with ginseng that Mom had on her Panera card. It was very good. I didn't see the new cranberry orange smoothie until it was too late, dadgummit! I will have to get that one next time, if they still have it.

We went to Jo Ann's, Tuesday Morning, Michael's, Goodwill and Walmart. We also went to Salsarita's for a bite to eat. We all got the vegetarian taco salad. I had shredded lettuce, black beans, rice, grilled veggies, black olives, mild and medium salsa, jalapeno slices, shredded cheese and spicy sour cream in a shell. I had a mixture of sprite, Hawiian Punch, & light lemonade. It was mostly sprite, but a mixture is always better.

We finished up with time to spare. I had enough time to get home, have a slice of leftover cheese pizza and run out the door to Zumba. I gave Lucas part of my pizza so I wouldn't be too full to shake my booty. I hate that I won't be going on Tuesdays for a while, since Lucas has an evening class and he's my ride, but I am happy that I will still be able to go on Thursdays.

I had went with 2 lb. weights last time since we didn't have class during the holidays, but decided to go back to the 3 lb. weights tonight.  I hope my legs don't get as sore this time, but I don't think it will be a problem. I don't think.

I had an orange after I got back and a few more peanut butter pretzels.

The wind has been howling this evening, blowing in the cold air. I was cold to the bone after I got home, but my laptop is roasting me now. I guess I will call it a night and see if I can get in a few pages of my book before going to bed. I had a good day. I'm hoping my plans for tomorrow go as well. Have a great night/day!!!

Over Indulging

Today was an unexpected day of over indulging. I woke up this morning after a fitful night of sleep. I was still craving the Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs. Hoping to calm my cravings with something a little healthier and more filling, I made a chocolate peanut butter & banana smoothie that I'm calling a Chocolate Monkey Smoothie. It was creamy and chocolatey and very good, but I think it would have satisfied my craving better, if I'd left out the banana. It just wasn't enough like the Reese's PB egg.  I enjoyed it, but still would love to eat one of those eggs, lol.

What's in the glass
Fresh Banana Slices
Vanilla Yogurt
Milk
Old Fashioned Oats
Peanut Butter
Ground Flax
Cocoa Powder
Ice Cubes
It even looks chocolatey in the photo.

Just after drinking my chocolate monkey smoothie I got a call, an invitation to go with my Mom & Aunt Lynda. Well you know I love to go, so I couldn't turn it down. One of the first places we went was Starbucks. I had a Iced Decaf Peppermint Mocha Latte. After the first sip, I realized this was super sweet. I'm not used to drinking sweet drinks. I mostly drink water and sometimes juice which I water down 50/50. I love the taste of coffee, but I hardly drink it anymore, because of the caffeine. I think I may have to leave it alone entirely or learn to drink it black. I only managed to drink about half, even after letting the ice melt to water it down.
We also went to Target & Michael's. I checked out the eyeglass frames at Target Optical. I'm hoping to get a new pair of specs in the near future. Right now, I'm shopping around. The man that works there, was very nice. He gave me a ball park figure of about how much my new glasses would cost. He also fixed the nose pieces on my current specs and cleaned them free of charge. I didn't even have to pay for the new nose pieces. Wasn't that nice? I also found some frames I liked.  I can't wait to get some new glasses.

After some shopping we went to Salsarita's. It's Mexican fast food set up sort of like Subway. You decide what you want then go down the line picking your ingredients. There's big variety of things to choose. I like that they offer vegetarian versions of everything. Last time I went, I had nachos, this time I had a Garden Taco Salad.

 What's in the salad
Shredded Iceburg Lettuce
Black Beans
Rice
Jalapenos
Black Olives
Grilled Veggies
Shredded Cheese
Mild Chunky Fresh Salsa
A Spicy Sour Cream Sauce
In A Fried Flour Tortilla Shell

It was yummy and I enjoyed it. I couldn't eat it all, though I did eat quite a bit of it. I didn't eat quite as healthy as I should have today and I am paying for it. We ate late this afternoon and I have been bloated and miserable all evening. I'm not sure what caused it. Maybe too much chocolate or maybe the cheese, but even after taking some GasX, I still feel terrible. I'm hoping to get some relief before bedtime, so that I can sleep. Now, I keep tasting peppermint mocha, so that must be the problem. Ugghh!
Thankful it's finally Friday? What's your weekend plan? Tomorrow, I'm planning to visit with the grand babies, then dinner at Mom's on Sunday. I'm hoping for good weather.

Playing Catch Up

I'm sorry about the post delays. There's been a lot going on here. Between being out having fun and power outages I've had a hard time getting online. Since I am trying to get caught up. I will post pictures with a brief description. Hopefully things will return to normal soon or be even better. Right now I will settle for normal.

Breakfast...Panera trail mix bagel with peanut butter and goji berry snack mix.

My Aunt Lynda treated me to a day out and lunch at the Ketchie Creek Bakery

Photo borrowed from Kitchens Are Monkey Business

I enjoyed a half a veggie sandwich on pumpernickel, Italian dressing on the side. It was yummy. I don't think they baked the bread though.

I also had a small Greek salad, very good. Roll on the side, was hard on the outside, boo. No room for it anyway. I brought it home to make croutons.

Missed a shot of the bakery, but I did get lots of goodie pics. We passed on the sweets though, go us!

Veggie Feta Quiche

Had to have some, it looked so fresh and yummy...

Well, this was just some of the stuff they have a Ketchie Creek Bakery. I liked that they had some vegetarian options for lunch.

Afterwards we checked out Ben Franklin's and did our time at Walmart, then on to Yoder's Amish Market. Sorry no photo of the store and I couldn't find one to borrow, but I'm suppose to go back on Saturday, so I'll try to remember to get one.

We got quite a few goodie's from Yoder's. They have lots of things there. I loved all the spices and seasonings, but I didn't need any of those right now. Here's what we got.

Fruit 'n Fitness Snack Mix

Unsweetened Coconut

Cappuccino Snack Mix

Fig Bars

I also got some sundried tomatoes, that I forgot to get a shot of. I'll post a pic later.

We had dinner at Salsarita's. Mexican fast food, set up sort of like Subway. You make your order and pick your ingredients, toppings, etc. We chose nachos. I got chips of course, refried beans, grilled veggie, medium salsa, onion, cheese sauce, black olives, shredded cheese and sour cream. No photo of the place, just the food, barely, lol.

I didn't particularly care for the grilled veggies. They were sloppy wet, and the bell pepper was bitter, although it was cooked, everything else was good. I will also get the hot salsa next time. The medium was not hot. I had a great time. Sorry to get this up so late. I try to get 2 out tomorrow. It's late. Cya tomorrow.

If you liked my shopping adventure pics, I have more here, here, and here.
